Contents Under Pressure takes the
reader on a fast, funny, and edgy ride through the
gayest small town in America. Two gay lawyers and best
friends from Washington, D.C., Drew Morgan and Stephen
Shaunessey, are called to the scene of a bank robbery
in a small town at the tip of Cape Cod.
When they arrive, they find a dead suspect covered by
the body of a German shepherd, and they are faced with
an array of witnesses from a Cuban-Japanese drag
performer named Mango to a middle-aged couple of whom
one makes ice cream cones for a living and the other
cleans Elvis’s house. As this primary mystery twists
and turns, Drew Morgan tries to unravel a personal
mystery of her own. Her photographer lover of ten
years, Maggie, left her six months before without a
word. When Drew meets Dr. J.J. Austin, who serves as
the town’s makeshift coroner, little does she know
that the doctor holds the key to Maggie’s whereabouts.
Just as the murder appears to be solved, the primary
suspect turns up dead. Drew and Stephen find
themselves winding their way through a new set of
clues and witnesses, including Iatta Cupcake, a
dancing dessert table, the Alpha Bettes, an all girl
band, and Lois Carmen Denominator, the star of a human
bingo game. Contents Under Pressure examines the
themes of love, abandonment, betrayal, redemption, and
the complex architecture of the friendship between gay
women and men, all while taking the reader on a fast
ride through a riveting and complex mystery.

An epidemic that swept through England spared young
Colleen Edwards, but took the lives of her mother and
brothers. When her father, Captain Charles Edwards,
sails home to England, he places Colleen in a boarding
school, thinking she would be better off there than on
the sea. After two years in what she calls "the
dungeon," Colleen finally convinces him to take her
with him as part of his crew aboard the Betsy Ann.
Thus begins Colleen’s raucous life on the high seas.
Lady Abigail Hume is the young widowed daughter of the
newly appointed governor of the Bahamas. Her new life
on this tropical island is anything but paradise, as
she rejects the never-ending line of suitors until one
day by chance she meets the enigmatic but charming
Colleen. Unfortunately, the two have little time to
explore their newfound love.
Kidnapping and piracy ensues on the small island.
Colleen suddenly finds herself captain of the Betsy
Ann and must fight for her love as she battles the
notorious pirate Jack Rackham, who is in league with
the likes of Mary Read and Anne Bonny. Join the
adventures of The Sea Captain and the Lady as
they battle for love on the high seas

Date: August 2008
Travel through history with the
O’Malley women—from the 14th century and Brigid
O’Malley, the Irish Barbarian, to the 1820s and sail
the Jamaica Winds with Quinlan Stoddard, and finally
to Shawn Riordan, fighting for her love and country
during the weeks before the invasion of Normandy in
Twilight’s Own.
Though vastly different in time and generations, the
fiercely loyal, independent blood that courses through
their veins connects these women. Each a warrior in
her own right, three women struggle to find their
rightful place in the world in which they live.
Strengthened by the spirit of all the O’Malley women
who walked the earth before them, they battle
tenaciously for family; they fight passionately for
love—they are the O’Malley .
