annually. Our titles are released on a quarterly basis to provide

It is extremely important to
understand that spending months creating your manuscript,
is the first step in publishing a book. The actual
publication and production process can take several months to
complete and it is a process that can not be expedited.
Editing is essential, even for the best of writers. Providing
our readers with the best quality books available is paramount to
your success and something we take very seriously at Intaglio
Publications.

comprehensive staff that is dedicated to providing our authors
with the best benefits in publishing, marketing, promotion and
distribution.
What we
are looking for in a potential Intaglio Publications Author:
Authors who:

Take their writing
seriously.

Are willing to devote time
to assisting our staff in the pre-publication process,
including
editing, and graphic design.

input into the publishing process.

Have a desire to market and
promote their works by working with our Public Relations and
Marketing Departments.
If you are interested in
submitting a manuscript to Intaglio Publications, please read our
submissions guidelines below prior to sending us your manuscript.
Please note that because of the time and cost involved in
reviewing a manuscript for possible publication Intaglio
Publications can not review manuscripts that have been
simultaneously submitted to other publishers.
Manuscripts submitted in the incorrect format will not
be considered.
Submissions Guidelines

We will only consider books
that are well written and of interest to a wide range of
readers.

Character driven stories
that have deeply explored and interesting plots.

We limit our
selections to the genre of lesbian fiction, that is our focus.

Your manuscript must be completed prior to your inquiry. After
our initial review of the synopsis and first three chapters,
if we are interested in reviewing your manuscript further,
it must be immediately available in its entirety.

Please make sure your manuscript is as clean as
possible prior to submission. Double check for typos,
proper grammar, punctuation, etc. Remember: Your
submission will be the only chance you have to make
an impression on our review board - Make it count.
Please include the following when
submitting a manuscript for consideration.

A cover letter which briefly describes why you
chose to submit your manuscript to Intaglio
Publications.

A one page biographical synopsis of the
author. Please include the following:
Legal Name,
Pseudonym (Pen Name),
Mailing address,
Email Address,
Phone Number, and
Website URL if you have one. Also, please list
any previously published works as well as
other pseudonyms that you have used in your
writing.

A 1-2 page synopsis of
the manuscript which should include an outline
of the plot and a brief description of the
main characters.

The first three chapters, or a minimum of
30 pages of your manuscript. (See formatting
requirements below).
Manuscript Format

Manuscript length: 50,000 -
100,000 words.

Standard 11pt Times New
Roman or equivalent font.

Standard paragraph
indention. (Please no tabs)

Paragraphs should be single
spaced with one extra line break between scenes.

New Chapters should begin on a new page and should be headed with the
chapter title.

Saved in Microsoft Word,
or .rtf format as a single document.

We will not accept HTML
files.

Intaglio Publications uses the Chicago Manual
of Style and Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate
Dictionary, Eleventh Edition.

The Review Process
Intaglio Publication's
submissions committee regularly reviews manuscripts submitted for
publication. Because of the numerous submissions we receive on a
monthly basis it may take 60 for the submissions
committee's recommendations to be returned to us, so patience is
a must.

We will acknowledge the
receipt of your submission with a standard form letter.

Your submission will be
forwarded to each member of our review committee.

Please allow at least 60 days for
the review process.

Once we receive our review
committee's
recommendation we will contact you via email.

If we ask to see your complete manuscript, please be
prepared to send it to us upon request.
The
Publishing Process
What to expect after your manuscript
is accepted for publication:
-
A representative will assign a tentative production
schedule for your manuscript
-
Your manuscript will then be
assigned to an editor who will work one-on-one with you to
edit your manuscript for publication. This process
can take several months to complete depending on the amount of
editing required and the time you have to devote to the
editing process. We take pride in publishing quality titles and the
editing process is vitally important. This is one aspect that
will not be rushed.

You will work directly with a
graphic design representative to design a cover for your book.
It is extremely important to
